about keshia

hi my name is keshia!
i’ve graduated from the chinese medicine school in Nelson in 2023 and started my practice here in Kaslo in February 2024, at the onest of the year of wood dragon. I live here with my partner and our four legged companions.

i am honoured to carry the lineage of such a beautiful medicine into the lives of hearts of many patients to come!

i have been working as a registered massage therapist for over 10 years, primarily in the Nelson area, where i worked alongside other wonderful and inspiring therapists including chinese medicine practitioners and acupuncturists.

my first true love into the healing arts was at a young age with yoga & ayurvedic philosophies. my dream then was to become an ayurvedic practitioner, but the training and the accessibility for clients to access this care felt out of reach. I became a massage therapist with the intention to weave together the ayurvedic practices into my massage practice. as life and work takes its various twists and turns, i sidetracked into studying cranio-sacral and osteopathic style visceral & myofascial release techniques with some very lovely and talented teachers in Vancouver. this experience offered me an in depth knowledge of anatomy combined with the hands on application of cranio-sacral techniques on the skeletal and visceral systems.

after all this training and education, alas, I still felt like i was missing an integral piece of the puzzle in working with the entirety of the human mind-body complex.

enter chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture! this medicine truly helps people heal and make real changes in their lives. the depth of wisdom & philosophy within this medical system is endless.

i’m looking forward to deepening my understanding of both the chinese pharmacopia as well as continue to practice more with our own local herbal allies. i wholly believe that health is found within us and in our connection to nature. By learning to come home to ourselves, to our own hearts, we can tap into a deep well of resources and wisdom.

thank you for being here and i look forward to working with you!
